YAB Academy of Physiotherapy at a Glance

The Indonesian Minister of Health announced the vision of "Healthy Indonesia 2010" and the increasingly complex public health problems of Indonesia today and in the future, will really need Physiotherapy expertise, for example the role of Physiotherapists in treating patients with diseases such as stroke, sports injury, women's health , postoperative rehabilitation, nerve constriction, rheumatoid, osteoarthritis, autism and others or as a doctor's partner in the healing process.

Yogyakarta Physiotherapy Academy Angga Binangun (AKFIS "YAB") Yogyakarta was founded by physiotherapy practitioners, education leaders and community leaders with the premise that there is still a lack of physiotherapists in Indonesia, where currently the ratio is still 1 : 55,000.

​

Based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 195/D/O/2001, starting in 2001, AKFIS "YAB" Yogyakarta operates and is the only Physiotherapy Academy in Yogyakarta.

​

AKFIS "YAB" Yogyakarta is managed by educational leaders and community leaders as well as physiotherapy practitioners who are members of the Yogyakarta Angga Binangun Foundation with administrators:

Now the Physiotherapy Academy has been accredited B, in accordance with the Decree of the LAM-PT Kes association No: 0610/LAM-PTKes/Akt/Dip/IX/2017 Regarding Accreditation Status, Grades and Ranks.
